CONTROLS ENGINEER to work in our Field Engineering – Customer Support group.
DUTIES
Will coordinate and perform the installation, start-up and commissioning of Measurement, Control and Information Systems at customers facilities; provide customer support functions including on-site field service and customer training, in-house technical support, troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair; prepare documentation and customer follow-up. Will also actively participate in the engineering, test and debug of systems prior to shipment. Travel required (less than 50% per year).
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Engineering degree and/or equivalent experience, experience in electro-mechanical assembly, test or design, read/interpret electronic, electrical and mechanical schematic, detail and assembly drawings; computer skills with proficiency troubleshooting PCs; knowledge of PLCs, HMI’s, drives and other programmable/control devices.
Customer Service oriented with the ability to effectively interact with a variety of individuals within the customer’s facility (engineering, production, maintenance, etc.).
Must have excellent communications skills (verbal, written, interpersonal), ability to train others and be detail oriented with good planning, organizational and time management skills. Must be self-directed with ability to work independently.
