WHO WE ARE DEFINES WHAT WE DELIVER
FACTS' experience with the customer’s processes, equipment, and products,
combined with our control and information systems expertise
uniquely qualifies FACTS as the best partner for your process automation needs.
FACTS systems include all the hardware, engineering, software development or configuration, drawings, installation supervision, start-up services and training.
FACTS specializes in supplying complete engineered
turnkey solutions for process controls and the corresponding
information systems for the plastics and rubber industries. FACTS systems are engineered for each customer’s specific requirements.
FACTS TOOLBOX
FACTS can use a wide range of FACTS and/or commercial hardware and software platforms to implement our ‘Total Solutions’ approach to process control and information management. This means we can utlilize a variety of plc's and HMIs, such as Allen Bradley, GE, Siemens, Automation Direct, and Wonderware.
CUSTOM DESIGN WITH STANDARDIZED SUPPORT
FACTS hardware platforms are based on industry standard Single Board Computer, industrial grade I/O, and various PLC lines. This gives FACTS a great starting point on which to base our support. Each individual system integrates with a number of different plastics processing systems- all of which we have a great deal of experience with. Combining the use of standard building blocks with our experience in process control provides our customers with a robust, intelligent system that all FACTS team engineers know inside and out. Our flexibility on standards doesnt stop there: along with our own standard HMI, we also offer other OS/HMI systems including RSView, and Wonderware (FACTS is a registered Wonderware systems integrator)
OUR APPROACH TO INFORMATION MANAGEMENT
The FACTS approach derives the management information as a by-product of the automation of the product producing equipment.
Historically management information systems have been driven from the top down, with suppliers of Manufacturing Execution System ( MES) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems adding terminals and forms to capture manufacturing data from the factory floor. Thats asking for trouble....this approach is expensive, inefficient, and the data accuracy is generally poor. The additional work load for the operators is also generally unpopular with the factory floor personnel.
WHY FACTS IS IN BUSINESS
FACTS serves manufacturers in the rubber and plastics industries.
1. Applying advanced process control and transducer technology to achieve improved quality and productivity while reducing material consumption, scrap, and labor content.
2. Fully integrate their management information systems with the factory floor control systems to better manage their factory operations. Some of the benefits realized from this integration include: reduced delivery times, labor content, and inventory, while improving machine utilization.
