Our Approach to Information Management
The FACTS approach derives the management information as a by-product of the automation of the product producing equipment.
Historically, management information systems have been driven from the top down, with suppliers of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems adding terminals and forms to capture manufacturing data from the factory floor. Thats asking for trouble….this approach is expensive, inefficient, and the data accuracy is generally poor. The additional work load for the operators is also generally unpopular with the factory floor personnel.
